Prof. Qinglong Han

Swinburne University of Technology, Australia

Title: Driving the Future of Transport: Communication-Efficient and Cyber-Secure Coordination Control

Professor Han is currently Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Quality) and a Distinguished Professor at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia. He held various academic and management positions at Griffith University and Central Queensland University, Australia. His research interests include networked control systems, multi-agent systems, time-delay systems, smart grids, unmanned surface vehicles, and neural networks. Professor Han is a Member of the Academia Europaea (The Academy of Europe). He is a Fellow of the International Federation of Automatic  Control (FIFAC), a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (FIEEE), an Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia (HonFIEAust), and a Fellow of the Chinese Association of Automation (FCAA). He is a Highly Cited Researcher  in both Engineering and Computer Science (Clarivate).  He has served as an AdCom Member of IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), a Member of IEEE IES Fellows Committee, a Member of IEEE IES Publications Committee,  Chair of IEEE IES Technical Committee on Network-Based Control Systems and Applications, and the Co-Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics. He is currently the President-Elect, an Executive Board Member, and a Steering Committee Member of Asian Control Association (ACA). He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica and the Co-Editor of Australian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Prof. Guoping Liu

Southern University of Science and Technology, China

Title: A General-Purpose Platform for the Design, Simulation, and Implementation of Automated Control Systems — M2PLab

Liu Guoping is a Member of the European Academy of Sciences, an IEEE Fellow, an IET Fellow, and a Fellow of the Chinese Association of Automation. He has led more than 80 research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the European Union Research Fund, the UK National Research Council, the GE-Alstom Core Technology Fund, the ABB-Alstom Core Technology Fund, and the Rolls-Royce Core Technology Fund. He has published more than 370 journal articles and more than 330 conference papers, authored 10 monographs, and holds 16 patents and 36 registered software copyrights. Internationally, he has been recognized as a Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher (2014–2015) and a Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher (2016–2018), and was awarded the German Humboldt Foundation Fellowship in 1992. Domestically, he has received the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award in 2008 and 2015, the First Prize of the Heilongjiang Provincial Natural Science Award in 2004, and the Guan Zhaozhi Award at the 26th China Control Conference in 2007, among other honors. He currently serves on the editorial boards of seven international journals and as a member of three technical committees of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC).

Prof. Lianghai Li

China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, China

Title: A Technology Framework for Intelligent Anti-Drone Detection, Identification, and Collaborative Response Enabled by a Spatio-Temporal Reference Network

Li Lianghai is Chief Technologist and former Chief Engineer at the Ninth Academy of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CAST), as well as Deputy Chief Scientist at CAST’s Institute of Systems and Innovation and Chief Scientist at the National Key Laboratory of Aerospace Electromagnetic Security. He has long been engaged in research and equipment development in the fields of aerospace telemetry, tracking, and communications; remote sensing; and advanced radar technology. His current research focuses on the low-altitude economy, low-altitude safety, and cyber-information systems. He has received numerous awards, including the First Prize for National Defense Science and Technology Invention and the First Prize for National Defense Science and Technology Progress. He has published three monographs, holds more than 50 patents, and has authored more than 50 academic papers.

Prof. Zidong Wang

Brunel University of London, UK

Dr. Wang Zidong is currently a tenured professor in the School of Engineering Design and Physical Sciences at Brunel University London, a member of the European Academy of Sciences, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, and an IEEE Fellow. Professor Wang Zidong received a Humboldt Fellowship in 1996, a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellowship in 1998, and the William Mong Fellowship from the University of Hong Kong in 2002. For many years, he has conducted research in intelligent data analysis (deep learning, evolutionary computation, bioinformatics), control theory (stochastic control, robust control, nonlinear control, model simplification), and signal processing. He has published over 700 international papers in SCI-indexed journals and authored 20 English-language research monographs. In 2012, he was selected by Thomson Reuters as one of the “Hottest Scientists” in the field of big data analytics; he has been named a Highly Cited Researcher in both computer science and engineering by Clarivate Analytics for several consecutive years; and he ranks first in the field of electrical and electronic engineering in the h-index of British scientists (currently 138). In 2014, he received the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award (ranked second), and in June 2020, he was awarded the inaugural Academic Research Impact Award from Brunel University in the UK.

Prof. Donghua Zhou

Southeast University, China

Professor and Ph.D. advisor at Southeast University; Chief Scientist at the Institute of Intelligent Unmanned Systems; and Director of the National-Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Mine Safety Inspection Technology and Automation Equipment. He earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and completed his postdoctoral research at Zhejiang University. He previously served as a Young Academic Leader at Beijing Institute of Technology, Chair of the Department of Automation at Tsinghua University, Vice President of Shandong University of Science and Technology, Chair of the Ministry of Education’s Teaching Guidance Committee for Automation Majors, Vice President of the Chinese Association of Automation, member of the State Council’s Disciplinary Review Panel for Control Science and Engineering, and Chair of the Fault Diagnosis and Safety Specialized Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation. He is a National-Level Expert designated by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Education; a leader of an Innovation Group funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China; the head of a “Huang Danian-style” Faculty Team at a national university; a National Outstanding Science and Technology Worker; and an expert under Shandong Province’s “Climbing Plan.” He is a Fellow of IEEE, AAIA, IET, and CAA, and an Elsevier Highly Cited Researcher.
